Our Social Responsibility

Blood Letting Activity

The Philippine Red Cross is a humanitarian organization, which provides services to uplift the lives of the underprivileged. One of its basic services is the Blood Services, which works on providing the country with an adequate and safer blood supply from volunteer, non-remunerated blood donors. A total of 42 Employees both regular (26 staff) and contract staffs (16 staff) voluntarily gave blood last September 12, 2012 held at PASCO Philippines Corporation and was organized by KIRIN Labor Management Committee.

Blood Donors Card was given to every volunteer donor. This card may be used as a record of donation. Bag Tags was also given to employees who donated blood during the Blood Letting Activity as a token of appreciation.


Tahanang Walang Hagdanan

KIRIN LMC visited "Tahanang Walang Hagdanan" last December 14, 2011. And donated some goods, old clothes, old stuffed toys and cash that were collected from the staffs and management. Tahanang Walang Hagdanan Inc., is a non-profit and non-government organization that aims to uplift the lives of the Orthopedically Handicapped Persons.

The Center is located at the Cainta Rizal which is about 15kms East Manila. It has 5 workshops. 6 dormitories for trainees who came from far provinces. It is rehabilitation and skills training center with sheltered workshops where the people with disabilities are trained to be productive and self-reliant member of the society.


CHILD HAUS

The Center of Life Improvement and Health Development (C.H.I.L.D) HAUS Project is halfway house used by children and young adults afflicted with cancer or other life-threatening diseases.

As part of PPC's social responsibility, LMC organized a visit to the children with cancer. LMC aims to give these children a simple joy for the Christmas Season. They offered them toys, dance presentation and food. In return, kids with cancer made heart warming song for LMC members to say "Thank you".
